Purpose: Shade of Africa Women Empowerment (SAWE) is a Washington state registered non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of women from immigrant and refugee communities. We are a female-led organization fueled by the belief that empowered women can transform communities and societies. Our core purpose is to create sustainability and uplift these underserved communities by providing essential resources and support.
At SAWE, we understand the unique challenges faced by immigrant and refugee women. Our mission is to bridge the gap and foster growth through mentorship, education, and an array of vital services. We are committed to promoting gender equality, cultural diversity, and social integration into the United States.
